enjoy their experience at The 900 Shops, the epicenter of fashion.
Some of the most celebrated clothing designers in the world have
boutiques here. Here's a review, some tips and highlights from a
recent shopper at The 900 Shops:
"900 North Michigan is the home of Bloomingdales plus 70 other shops.
The shops in 900 North tend to be more upscale than those found
in Water Tower Place (or other Chicago shopping centers and malls).
Notable stores in the mall include Mark Shale which has expensive
clothes for men and women (on Levels 3 & 4), J. Crew with casual
preppy clothes for both sexes (Level 2), Max Mara the Italian
designer store (Level 1), L'Occitane with French soaps and
lotions (Level 1), and William Sonoma with upscale cooking wares
(Level 2). There are a couple of places to eat in the mall
including OakTree on Level 6 which has wonderful diner food
(love the grilled cheese sandwiches and the milk shakes),
Tucci Benucci for consistently good Italian and Baisi Thai on 6th.
They also opened a Pot Belly sandwich shop recently where you
can pick up a quick and inexpensive sub.
What To Buy:
Bloomingdales has a wonderful selection of
trendy clothes at reasonable prices. Floor/departments to
check out include Y.E.S. on 5, and I.N.C. on 3. Bloomies has
wonderful deals on cashmere (on the 3rd floor - under the name
Sutton, on the 5th - under the name Aqua). Men's clothing is
on 2 with some trendy stuff on the 5th floor."
