900 North Michigan Shops will showcase the passion and innovation behind the city of Chicago with its new 2016/2018 ad campaign, “I AM CHICAGO”. This campaign will symbolize the relationship between 900 Shops and fourteen locals who have a true affinity for the city.
“I AM CHICAGO” is 900 North Michigan Shops’ first ad campaign to spotlight local individuals and tell their unique story. The fourteen finalists were selected from nearly 400 hopefuls who attended a casting call at 900 Shops on April 5, 2016. Contestants were judged based on many factors including how they were making a difference in their community.
Each finalist was photographed in the city and recorded their story on a collection of videos. Similar to our fourteen finalists, 900 Shops also has a story. Entering its third decade on the Magnificent Mile, 900 Shops has become more than a home to 70 luxe lifestyle shops; it has become a home-base for local Chicagoans. 900 Shops’ story embodies the stories and journeys of every Chicagoan when they walk through the Michigan Avenue doors.
The 2016/2018 campaign will debut two finalists and their stories per season throughout the two years. Photos and videos of each finalist will be available via 900 Shops’ website and local advertising channels. Finalists will also partner with 900 Shops in upcoming events and promotions. This spring, 900 Shops is spotlighting Kimberly Evetts and Michelle Harris.
