Volumes Bookstore is a family owned business, brought to life by two Chicago area sisters. Rebecca and Kimberly have always had careers that were intertwined with books. While Kimberly was spending her career in early childhood, introducing youngsters to the power of reading, Rebecca was spending her career in secondary and higher education, trying desperately to keep students reading. While academia has its perks, both sisters longed for a different career that could still bring their passion for learning and reading into the community at large.

They both wanted to create something that contributed to their community. What started as a childhood dream has finally become a reality in the neighborhood they love.
